Within the project Strengthening Capacities of the Network of Inspectors of Serbia, implemented by Partners Serbia, in cooperation with the Network of Inspectors of Serbia (NIS), and supported by the USAID Cooperation for Growth (CfG) project, a five-day strategic planning was organized in Vrnjačka Banja, from April 3 to April 7, which was attended by 26 members of the Networks' management.

The trainers of this, the first in a series of project activities, were: Radmila Radic Dudic, expert in the field of strategic planning, Milan Stefanovic and Dusan Radovanovic, experts in the field of administrative law and inspection oversight, and Milena Beric, communications expert.

Through a series of lectures and numerous practical workshops, the participants had the opportunity to learn how to determine the value, mission and vision of an association, how to organize inspections by advocacy and lobbying, as well as how to influence changes in legislation in their field. Topics included, among other things, the analysis of relevant actors, communication strategies, defining the organization's goals, fundraising, etc. As part of the training, on the third day, the results of the Analysis of the Training Needs of the Network Members were presented, based on a survey conducted during the month of March. Mila Pejcic, monitoring and evaluation specialist, presented all the details of the research on behalf of the USAID CfG project. Ana Toskic, the Executive Director of Partners Serbia, spoke to the participants about project funding and finding potential donors.

The goal of this Project is to improve the quality of inspection oversight and communication between inspectors and subjects of inspection oversight, through strengthening the capacities of NIS. Within this one-year project, series of activities will be conducted, aimed at strengthening the administrative and managerial capacities of MINS, building their capacities for management and representation, but also to provide the Association with greater visibility among inspectors and to present them to the general public.
