PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
November 2025 – July 2025
This project aims to strengthen transparency and openness of public authorities in Serbia by improving the quality and inclusiveness of the development and revision process of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Action Plan of the Republic of Serbia (2023–2027).
Specific objectives:
- Strengthen the capacities of civil society organizations to actively participate in the revision of Serbia’s OGP Action Plan.
- Improve cross-sector dialogue and foster participatory policymaking by engaging new actors in the OGP process.
- Enhance the quality of the Action Plan and its drafting process through monitoring, advocacy, and recommendations based on an analysis of existing commitments and societal needs.
To achieve these goals, the project will implement a set of interconnected activities, including a public outreach campaign, a workshop for civil society organizations, media and activists, the development of an advocacy paper, coordinated joint advocacy through an informal civil society group, and monitoring the transparency and legality of the OGP Action Plan revision process.
Through these interventions, the project will contribute to more inclusive decision-making, strengthened trust between institutions and citizens, and the overall advancement of open government standards in Serbia.
