PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
April 2018 – April 2022
The overall goal of the Project is to create an environment in which citizens will demand greater participation in the decision-making and policy-making process, which is the first step in creating a more responsible and inclusive public administration. This requires a two-way approach, where the citizens need to be aware that they are the employers and financiers of every public administration, while at the same time the government needs to understand that it is responsible to citizens, while its work must be transparent and monitored.
The specific objectives are as follows:
- Strengthening bearers of change on local level (civil society organizations, citizens, “grassroot” initiatives, journalists) to demand efficient implementation of anti-corruptive measures and greater level of responsibility of state institutions
- Restoring citizens’ trust in in the effectiveness and efficiency of social engagement
